The SGA meeting has been called to order.

Sen. Foreman, Sen. Lear and Sen. Moran are not present.
8:08 pm:
The agenda for this meeting and minutes from last meeting have been approved.
8:09 pm:
Sen. Waller is concerned about why ESPN disappears from time to time.
8:10 pm:
The temperature on the boat has been radically changing.
8:10 pm:
Students are concerned about the organization of the Bike Shop — delays with repairs and other problems.
8:11 pm:
Vice President of Advancement, Maureen Silva, is addressing the SGA.
8:12 pm:
There were 352 independent stories about the ship around the world.

“As difficult as it has been to students, the resolution has really brought us to light,” according to Silva speaking about the ship.

17% of alumni give to SMCM, which ranks second to the lowest among our peer institution.

Silva runs both the advancement office at the College and the College’s sister 501c3 foundation.

The College has a million endowment. According to Silva, the College hopes to double the endowment in the next few years.

In FY11, the Advancement office raised .8 million, 13% more than FY10.

The SGA is now considering Club Constitution 14-11F the American Sign Language Club.

The club use to exist and the President is trying to restart the club.

The SGA food committee needs 10 volunteers for midnight breakfast, which is on Tuesday Dec. 13th.

The SGA will consider the Spring Fund Appeals Budget at the next meeting.

Next Tuesday from 5-6 there will be a fundraiser to benefit the housekeeping and physical plant staff who have not received a raise in four years.
