The SGA is currently listening to boat-related songs.

The VP has called the SGA to order.

Sen. Diaz, Sen. Foreman, Sen. Kenny, Sen. Mumby, Sen. Nemrich, Sen. Razfindrainibe and Club Coordinator Pindell are not present.

The agenda was amended to table Bill 04-11F until next week. The amended agenda was approved.

The minutes from last week’s meeting have been approved.

President Urgo and Chip Jackson are discussing the decision to move students to cruise ship.

An alumni suggested the cruise ship, which is owned by the alum’s friend.

According to Urgo, housing students off-campus was unacceptable in the long-term.

The ship will likely be kept where the Dove is currently docked.

The ship won’t be moved once it’s in place, it is very costly to go on trips on the boat.

Jackson is currently investigating the amount of internet access the ship can have.

The ship will hold 244 people, which is a few more than the number of students in hotels. No students will remain in hotels.

The move is not optional, according to Urgo.

Students can go on the boat to hang out, according to Jackson. Hallowgreens will not be moved to the ship, according to Bayless.

Most rooms have two beds and a bathroom. Some rooms, crew rooms will be converted into singles as they are smaller.

The college is renting the boat, not purchasing the vote.

Students who were moved into housing on-campus will stay where they are.

Jackson believes the boat will be here on Friday morning, students can move in as soon as Friday afternoon. All students would be checked out of the hotels by Monday at 11:00 a.m.

“The cost for the boat is the same as what we are paying right now for hotels and transportation,” said Jackson.

Urgo said the college has a large fund balance (basically a savings account) to pay for these expenses.

According to Tom Botzman, the cost is about $ 20,000 per day.

“I don’t think it will affect the college’s strategic plan. The outside world, the economy etc.. will have a much larger impact,” said Botzman.

Every three days the bathrooms will be cleaned.

The ship will have a staff to make sure the ship is staff and student affairs and public safety will provide security and safety for the ship.

According to Urgo, the idea emerged organically with the help of some alum. “We have talked about it on and off for a while, the idea of living on a boat,” said Urgo.

The testing around campus on Sunday have not shown systematic mold, though there have been some sporadic cases outside of P.G. and Caroline.

“We don’t believe anyone else needs to move from housing. We have not seen any evidence of that need,” said Jackson.

Residents in LQ 12 reported mold on Sunday and Monday and have not yet have received a response from the administration. Jackson said the mold expert visited the unit.

Senators are expressing concerns about parking and the library hours for those affected by mold.

According to Kelly Schroeder, there will be events on the boat. Bars will not be open.

Director Zylak said the goal of public safety is to limit the number of people who drink to excess and need to be transported to the hospital.

“We are going to have an all-hands on deck night for public safety [at Hallowgreens],” said Zylak.

Public safeties handling of people on Hallowgreens will greatly depend on how people interact and handle the situation with public safety.

Linda Wallace will address the SGA about Plan B.

Plan B is available for purchase at the Health Center with a same-day appointment.

Plan B costs $ 40.

The appointment is not a physical but instead covers a patients history to make sure there is no harm in prescribing Plan B.

The Plan B available is a single pill rather than the two pill regiments available elsewhere.

The health center is cheaper than every other pharmacy in town.

St. Mary’s health department offers Plan B for $ 20 to those older than 19 and free for those under 19.
